Helping You Reduce Electricity Costs
Without Upfront Spend
Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs) offer businesses, schools and other institutions a practical way to reduce energy costs, stabilise future tariffs, and access solar power — without CAPEX.
Why Opt for a PPA?
1
1. No Capital Expenditure
Implement solar power without any upfront investment.
2
2. Lower-Cost Electricity
Secure a stable and predictable energy supply at a reduced rate compared to Eskom.
3
3. No Operational Burden
The PPA provider handles all maintenance, monitoring, and repairs of the solar system.
4
4. Flexible Contracts
Tailored agreements designed to meet the unique needs and financial cycles of your business.
5
5. Fully Approved & Compliant
Ensure all installations adhere to local regulations and safety standards.
Kommetjie Primary School - A PPA Case Study
In May 2025, we installed a solar PV system at Kommetjie Primary School in Cape Town under a Power Purchase Agreement (PPA).
The school pays only for the electricity generated by the system at a contracted tariff. The system is funded, owned, operated, and maintained by us.
Actual Performance for Kommetjie Primary: First 8 Months
Projected Year 1 Savings: R21,000

Long-Term Savings Outlook
Savings increase over time due to the capped solar tariff escalation (maximum 6% per year or lower if municipal increases are lower).
  • Year 10 projected annual saving: R70,000
  • Year 20 projected annual saving: R211,000
  • Projected 20-year cumulative savings: R2.2 million!
Feasibility & Implementation Process
1
01 - Initial Call
Short call to answer questions and understand your setup.
2
02 - Electricity Bills
Provide the last 12 months of electricity bills to assess usage patterns and viability.
3
03 - Data Logging (4 Weeks)
We install a data logger to measure real electricity demand and optimise system design.
4
04 - Tailored PPA Proposal
  • Expected savings
  • Tariffs
  • System size
  • Contract terms
5
05 - Approvals & Applications
We handle submissions to:
  • Municipality or Eskom
  • Department of Public Works
  • WCED or other governing bodies
6
06 - Structural Engineering Assessment
Roof loading and PV design reviewed and signed off.
7
07 - Installation
Typically 2–3 weeks. Scheduled to minimise disruption to your operations. Includes AMI smart meter installation.
8
08 - Commissioning & Compliance
  • Electrical CoC
  • Pr Eng commissioning report
  • Final approval from Municipality or Eskom
9
09 - Operation & Billing
System goes live. You pay only for electricity used from the solar system. Reduced reliance on Eskom from Day 1.
